Double delegation from Brazil and Peru visited the University of Rostock

20.09.2018 Press Releases
On 18 September 2018, delegations from Brazil and Peru were guests at the University of Rostock. Representatives of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), headed by Professor Marcus Seferin (Coordinator of the Food Science and Innovation program), as well as the Pontifícia Universidad Católica Del Peru PUCP from Peru, among them Professor Renzo Astorne, hold talks with local representatives about possible cooperation, especially in the areas of fisheries, aquaculture and geriatric research.
The delegations were received in the Rectorate by Professor Meike Klettke (Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Equality and Diversity Management), Professor Matthias Paschen (Chair of Marine Technology) and Michael Paulus (Director of the Rostock International House, RIH).
The visit was initiated by Dr.  Maria Elisabete Hasse-Moellmann (also PCURS and residing in Germany for a long time) and Silvia Kohlmann (ENVITECPRO, Rostock). Both were in July 2017 at the University of Rostock for kick-off meetings with the Rector of the University of Rostock, Professor Wolfgang Schareck, the Rostock International House (RIH), the Interdisciplinary Faculty (INF) and industry, in particular with the Rostock company ROSOMA. The resulting ideas out of this meeting aroused great interest both in Brazil and Peru, so that they can be further substantiated during the current stay in Rostock, seeking  for a long-term cooperation.
